Description
Vintage 1941 Tenth Edition hardcover of I Dare You! by William H. Danforth, Chairman of the Board of Ralston Purina Company — a classic American motivational and self-improvement book with an iconic embossed red checkerboard cloth cover. Features: Privately printed April 1941 for friends and daring youth; features Danforth's Four-Fold Development motto (Think Tall / Stand Tall / Smile Tall / Live Tall); chapters include Adventure, Fight, Action, Growth, Power, and more; foreword by G. M. Philpott of the Life Underwriters' Association. Condition: Good vintage condition for an 85-year-old book — cloth cover shows shelf wear and light rubbing to the embossed checkerboard pattern at the corners and edges (see photos), binding is tight and square, and interior pages are clean and intact with no writing or markings. A wonderful piece of business and self-help history.
