This is a British-made cap badge from the WWII era (1940s). I personally imported it over 10 years ago from a famous overseas auction house. I believe that those with brass clasps are particularly rare.
It appears to be a rare item, as similar ones are reportedly traded for over 20,000 yen overseas.
