This is a rare, early production OD-3.

Operation confirmed.
This is the 305th unit produced since the OD-3 began production (5th unit of the 4th lot, early production from August 1997).
While ZK serial numbers starting with 11~ or 12~ are often listed, early serial numbers starting with 10~ are rare and valuable.
Units from this period have sold for close to 40,000 yen according to sales records.
Considering its age, it is in beautiful condition.

I have owned several units from the first month of production, and this one has a sense of separation, quick response, and a vintage-like softness that makes me feel it's a hit unit.

This unit has a responsiveness different from current models and a deep, flavorful sound reminiscent of a vintage Tube Screamer.
I have owned early and vintage units of the BD-2, SD-1, OD-1, etc., and all of them had a good response and a worn-in feel, which I also sense in this product.

Some vintage BOSS products have a harsh, ear-piercing quality, but this unit does not. It has softness, excellent touch response, and a worn-in feel, striking a perfect balance. When playing solos, the sound cuts through.
