Vintage Wooden Coffee Grinder With Brass Bowl & Drawer Made In Western Germany
Western Germany
Because it is marked Made in Western Germany (or West Germany), it was manufactured during the Cold War era between 1949 and 1990. During this time, famous German companies like Zassenhaus, Armin Trösser, and Dienes produced millions of these highly durable, conical steel burr grinders. They are highly prized by collectors today for their excellent build quality and vintage farmhouse aesthetic. • Materials: Features a varnished hardwood body (often beech or oak), a metal hopper bowl, and a black teardrop wooden handle knob. • Catch Drawer: Includes a tiny front drawer with a matching wooden pull knob to collect the fresh coffee grounds. • Marked Made in Western Germany • Mechanism: Uses a manual mechanical crank that turns an internal steel burr to crush coffee beans rather than slicing them. • Compact and lightweight design • Use without electricity! • Ideal as a collectible for display, or for daily use! Minor surface scratches and wear on the wood. Brass bowl shows patina. Approx. height = 7 inches, base = 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Items are in gently used condition and we do our best to detect and describe flaws, but we are likely going to miss some.
