The 15cm Santoku knife with a black blade made of Japanese ceramic is a useful main knife for everyday cooking, such as for meat and vegetables.
Ceramic does not rust and does not impart a metallic taste to food. Therefore, the 13cm paring knife, also with a black blade made of Japanese ceramic, is suitable as a sub-knife for chopping herbs or cutting fruit.
Both are dishwasher safe.
Ceramic is very hard, so the sharpness lasts a long time. However, because it is very thin, if you try to cut hard ingredients or frozen foods forcefully, the blade may chip. We recommend using it in conjunction with a stainless steel knife to ensure longevity.
