This product was widely distributed in the 1980s. This item was purchased before the consumption tax was introduced, in 1989 (Heisei 1). The label on the back of the bottle indicates Whisky Special Grade. It has been stored in a relatively cool, dark place, so while there may be changes due to age, we cannot guarantee the taste or flavor. Long John refers to the renowned Scottish McDonald family, named so because John McDonald stood at 193 cm tall, hence Long John meaning tall. The taste is said to be mild, with key malts including Laphroaig, Tomore, and Ben Nevis, resulting in a very diverse flavor and aroma. As this product is no longer sold, it is a rare item. The seal is tightly closed, so there is likely very little angel's share. Including the 21 years of bottling, this whisky is over half a century old. It is believed to have a taste unique to aged spirits. The alcohol may have mellowed, resulting in a very gentle flavor.
