This is a Uchide no Kozuchi (magic mallet) case with a certificate of good luck and fortune, purchased as a souvenir during a visit to Atsuta Jingu Shrine in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, a long time ago (I don't remember exactly when).
It has been stored at home in its wooden box, but the wooden box is cracked in the middle on both the lid and the bottom (Photos 1 and 2).
As it is an auspicious item, I think it would be nice to display it at home or elsewhere.
