This is a VINCENT BACH CORP. 3C mouthpiece with gold plating (GP) on the rim and inside the cup only.
It's the very popular 3C size and from an era known for producing instruments with excellent resonance.
For trumpet players who use the 3C, switching to this mouthpiece will feel very natural with minimal adjustment.
Personally, I find that a full gold plating tends to result in a more gorgeous look and tone, with increased resistance. However, this mouthpiece strikes a good balance with a comfortable blowing feel and a lustrous tone.
For reference, the current retail price for a new mouthpiece with gold plating on the rim and inside the cup only is ¥38,610, which is more expensive than a fully gold-plated one.
Manufactured between 1970 and 1980, this is a Deep Period model, characterized by the wider spacing between CORP. and 3C, and slightly deeper engraving of the period.
It is in miraculous condition with no noticeable scratches or dents.
