This is an electric winch.
I acquired it as a junk item with no remote control or handle.
I confirmed its winding and unwinding operation by directly connecting 12V to the motor's wires.
I considered preparing my own remote control and using it for another purpose (lifting loads), but I thought it might be a bit too large and decided to sell it.
Inside, there are two large relays and a wireless remote receiver, so if you're able to repair it, it seems like it can be used with either a wireless or wired remote control.
