Antique Ornate Wood Frame Woman Crayon Portrait 8x10 Photo

Antique ornate wood picture frame with a matted portrait of a woman. The portrait appears to be an antique crayon portrait or hand-enhanced photographic portrait, giving it a soft charcoal-style look while still retaining photographic detail. The woman is shown in an early-style formal portrait pose with dark swept-up hair, a high-collar dress, button sleeve details, and a soft clouded studio background. The portrait is signed in the lower right corner and appears to read “A. Crites” with a location noted underneath. The frame has beautiful antique character with a curved top, carved-look scrollwork, raised floral detailing, and warm bronze/brown tones. The matting is included and currently fits an 8” x 10” portrait. Without the mat, the frame opening would fit artwork or a photo approximately 13 1/2” tall x 10 1/2” wide. Overall frame measures approximately 16” tall x 13 1/2” wide. Good antique condition with age-related wear, including scuffs, finish wear, marks to the frame, and age spotting/discoloration to the matting and backing. Please review photos closely. Great for antique photo collectors, Victorian-style decor, Edwardian decor, gallery walls, old-world interiors, or as a decorative antique frame to reuse with your own artwork or photograph.
