Bill Evans Remaster Series
●Waltz for Debby, the best-selling jazz masterpiece in Japan, loved across generations and certified as RIAJ Gold Disc in 2016, has been remastered from the original tape using all-analog mastering for the first time in 10 years. This release features three titles, including Sunday at the Village Vanguard, recorded on the same day, and the later masterpiece You Must Believe in Spring, all with the latest remastered sound source.
●This is an eternal piano trio masterpiece filled with intellectual beauty, including the delicate title track dedicated by Bill Evans, one of the most popular pianists in jazz, to his brother's beloved daughter, Debby. This recording captures the pinnacle of the supreme trio of genius bassist Scott LaFaro, who passed away 11 days after this live performance, and drummer Paul Motian, who later collaborated with Keith Jarrett, during a club gig in New York.
●Features 2023 remastered sound source based on the original US analog master, utilizing 192kHz/24bit.
●Includes a Japanese translation of the original LP liner notes.
*The Hi-Res CD Masterpiece Series is a high-quality CD (UHQCD) playable on all CD players (44.1kHz/16bit).
*By using MQA-compatible equipment, you can play back in high-resolution quality identical to the original master.
