Antique Furnivals Lorne Flow Blue Oval Platter – 16 Inches  Step back into the late 19th century with this exquisite example of English Flow Blue ironstone. Produced by Furnivals in the highly collectible Lorne pattern, this oversized platter features a deep, inky cobalt floral design that bleeds beautifully into the white glaze. The scalloped, embossed edges are accented with a delicate gold gilt rim, making it a perfect statement piece for a Grandmillennial or Traditional home. This 130-year-old antique is in beautiful display condition with the following character marks:  Front: One small manufacturing glaze pop/skip within the blue design (typical of the era's firing process).  Reverse: Very clean glaze with fine crazing localized only to about 1/4 of the back edge.  Rim/Edges: A small flake/chip on the underside base rim (not visible when displayed) and one tiny nick on the scalloped outer edge.  Gilt: Honest thinning and wear to the gold rim consistent with age.  Integrity: No large cracks, hairlines, or repairs.  Shipping:  This is a substantial, heavy piece of ironstone.
